• Created a Bamboo plan with the goal of automating unit test execution. Custom scripts were utilized that built and ran unit tests based on the user's needs, in addition to generating coverage and result reports. The user was able to identify granularity of test coverage, from multiple repos down to individual test cases. The plan was later optimized after months of use, allowing parallel execution of tests, reducing overall runtime by upwards of 6 hours.
• Created a bash script that streamlined a major portion of the onboarding process by automating the download, configuration, and other enterprise-specific setups of a popular IDE. This was previously a multi-hour manual process, dependant on user guides that may or may not have been up-to-date. Following my solution, the process took a few minutes. The script was written such that already-completed steps would be detected and skipped. Compartmentalization was practiced as often as possible, allowing certain steps to be run independent of the script if a user had a specific need.
• Created a python script to consolidate SRS test failures for multiple baselines. Multiple REST APIs including those for Jira, Bamboo, and Confluence were utilized. The final result was an automated Confluence page that contained SRS test failure information including date entries, test results, associated stories, and would track successive passing results to determine if a failure should continue to be tracked.
